Win-Tek MyKad SDK is a Activex Dynamic Link Library (DLL) with a set of application programming interfaces or functions that allow Windows/Linux application developers to read specific information stored in the Malaysian Government Multipurpose Card (GMPC or MyKad), using the standard PC/SC reader as card acceptance device.
Knowledge on the memory structure or any technical details of MyKad is not mandatory but some knowledge on how smart card works can be useful. Nevertheless, knowledge in programming language that supports DLL function call such as Microsoft visual C or visual Basic is essential especially on making function call from DLL. The usage of the DLL provided in this SDK is similar to DLLs provided by Microsoft or other vendors.
